When Chickens Fly
A creative journey and other life curiosities.
Curious, do chickens fly? Well, no, not technically. But my daughter says they do ‘glide’. In a downward angle, yes. So does a ball when I throw it. It would suck to be a bird, and not be able to fly. In starting this blog, I really don’t have a thing for chickens. They have just always been an easy thing for me to draw, so I started drawing chickens. One of these days, I’ll learn to draw people. That, and I’ve always been entertained by chickens. Have you ever watched chickens? They have a definite pecking order. They don’t like change, staying up late, or the rain. Ever heard the saying “madder than a wet hen”. Yep. I am sure with every rule, there is an exception. Like those strange cats I see on ticktock sitting in a sink full of water like its a little jacuzzi. You do you. Speaking of cats. Very similar to a chicken in that if you ever have your back turned to them, know, they are secretly planning a way to take you down. I once was told chickens are a direct descendent of the dinosaur. And not the friendly vegetarian kind. But the man eating kind. Hmm. Anyway, that got dark. I really don’t have an agenda here. Just sharing and trying to organize some of my sketches, thoughts and daily rants. Enjoy.
